Michael Moody

Michael is a long-time, highly accomplished lighting designer who primarily focuses on illuminating designs for fine, custom homes. He has more than 35 years in the lighting industry, including over 25 years with City Lights San Francisco, and is a Certified Lighting Specialist with the American Lighting Association. As an Outside Sales expert, he spends most work days away from the showroom, consulting with electrical contractors, architects, builders, and designers.  Over the years, Michael has developed many long-time clients and close working relationships in the building and lighting industries. Referrals from his past clients are available upon request.

Michael loves to design lighting projects from start to finish, collaborating with clients and building professionals to incorporate lighting design that enhances the architecture, décor, furniture layout, and landscape. He particularly enjoys adding his own personal touches to each project with what he calls “lighting jewelry.”

Even with his decades of experience, Michael still believes that education in the lighting design industry is never ending, so throughout the year he attends numerous training seminars and factory product meetings.

When not focusing on his lighting design career, Michael also is an avid outdoorsman and gardener.
